Roton Middle School in Norwalk announced on Tuesday, Dec. 1, that beginning Wednesday, Dec. 2, students and staff will move to full remote learning, through Friday, December 11.

Students and staff may return to in-person learning on Monday, December 14, 2020.

The district said in a statement that due to the number of staff members now quarantined following a confirmed case of COVID-19, and contact tracing, they are no longer able to effectively operate the building.

The decision to move to full remote instruction was made after carefully considering the safety and well-being of all students and staff, the district said.

Teachers and staff will also be working remotely and will be in contact with all students Wednesday morning during the school’s regular start time.
